Style Guide & Iconography
The style was made as an update to the current design, making it more modern and useable. The colour scheme was kept similar to the current choices, but more complimentary and professional with simple greys to offset the bright green and rich blue. The fonts were changed to be more readable and visually appealing for both web and print marketing. New simple and recognisable icons were created for use across the webpage and print materials to maintain consistency and make a more modern design.
Marketing
Animation
An animation created for the JADE home page and advertisement opportunities to give users an overview of the site and its features. As well as to entice them to subscribe to the professional version. The video was made following the new branding style to keep it consistent and modern.
EDMs, Flyers & Brochures
Text-heavy marketing materials were redone in line with the style guide, adding images, icons and design elements to make them more appealing and and useful for users.
UI Web Design
I created high-fidelity prototypes for a redesign of the current JADE website. I didn’t want to change the placement and content too much - at least in a first stage redesign - as to not confuse current users. Instead I created a consistent design and layout with colour, font and iconography to attract new users, improve user experience and make the website competitive with other more modern legal research platforms.
The main problem was creating a design which simplified text-heavy research pages into a digestible format. At times this required doing content management and reducing unnecessary text, others simply changing font hierarchy and spacing greatly reduced the visual load.
